Rebel Micro SIM-card to Unlock iPhone 4 [Video]

Rebel Micro SIM-card is another iPhone unlocking SIM like Gevey SIM, which helps to bypass the network unlock foriPhone 4 on iOS 4, 4.1, 4.2, 4.2.1, 4.3 on basebands 1.59.00, 03.10.01, 02.10.04 and 04.10.01. Rebel Micro SIM-card is launching at the Gadget Show Live in April and starts shipping from 6th April.

Rebel Micro SIM card also does not require jailbreaking the device and costs $65. Rebel Micro SIM-card uses quite similar technique as with Gevey SIM and does not remains unlocked if SIM is taken out. Gevey SIM requires calling emergency number “112″ which is illegal but and it is recommended to wait for Dev Team’s NCK unlock.

Rebel Micro SIM it might be like Gevey SIM we don't have any way to unlock our iPhone Except Gevey SIM or Micro SIM that we don't know much about it until the Dev-team release the free unlock solution,
Rebel Micro SIM less in price than Gevey SIM it's only $65 Rebel Micro SIM  might be better than
Gevey SIM it might solve the Problems of the Gevey SIM. Any way Just stay tuned on for any update.

Redsn0w to Untethere Jailbreak iOS 4.3.1

As we previously announced few hours ago that, the iPhone Dev-Team is testing their devices on the new exploits of untethered I0n1c, which should be implemented quickly, probably in a new release of Redsn0w. After the first testMuscleNerd the leader of the Dev-Team, has expressed his opinion about it first  with a few reassuring words defining what will be untethered jailbreak firmware 4.3.1 ?

@MuscleNerd @Klikkser well @io01c's untether is solid! just working out overall 2.3.x JB issues and Cydia :) http://is.gd/ac44em
At the same time, MuscleNerd took opportunity to clarify the position of the Dev-Team about a possible "spy story" Comexraised by these days, who said that there might be a spy inside the world of hacking that provide information on new exploits for the jailbreak to Apple.

@i0n1c Please don't bother the dev-team now. The deal is: if the beta test is successfull, they are free to do whatever they want with it.
As reported by I0n1c, now it's all in the hands of the Dev-Team: If the exploit will be tested quickly and will be working then it could be released very soon and in ways that will be drawn from the known group of hackers. It is uncertain in fact to release a new version of Redsn0w on iOS 4.3.1, but it is the most likely hypothesis as PwnageTool another program developed by theDev Team is only compatible with Mac and do not with Windows.
According to a new tweet by MuscleNerd, the exploit for the untethered jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 seems to work well, and the sameMuscleNerd him as "solid." Remain to be correct, however, some small (and normal) compatibility issues relating to iOS 4.3.1 and Cydia, which as you can see from the screenshot.

Unlock iOS 4.3.1 on iPhone 4, 3GS Using Ultrasn0w [How To Guide]

The newly released Sn0wbreeze 2.4 supports Ultrasn0w unlock for iPhone 4 and 3GS users (old basebands only) which otherwise happens to be broken on the latest iOS 4.3.1 firmware.

If you have jailbroken your iPhone 4/3GS (old basebands only) on iOS 4.3.1 using Sn0wbreeze 2.4, and you rely on an unlock, you can use Ultrasn0w to unlock your iPhone on this latest firmware so that you can use it on any carrier you like.
The following step by step instructions will help you jailbreak and unlock supported iPhone 4 and 3GS running on iOS 4.3.1. However before we proceed, please make note of the following:
  • Sn0wbreeze 2.4 supports Ultrasn0w unlock for basebands (01.59.00 / 04.26.08 / 05.11.07 / 05.12.01 / 05.13.04 / 06.15.00)
  • ultrasn0w is NOT compatible with the following basebands (02.10.04 / 03.10.01 / 04.10.01 / 05.14.02 / 05.15.04)
  • iPhone 3GS users can upgrade to 06.15.00 baseband now under Unlocks section in Expert.
  • Upgrading iPhone 3GS baseband to the 06.15.00 iPad baseband hack to unlock MAY cause you to lose your GPS!
  • There is NO unlock for the stock iOS 4.3.1 (latest baseband) yet. If your iPhone relies on a unlock, DO NOT update to stock iOS 4.3.1 yet.
  • Sn0wbreeze is a tethered iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
For iPhone 3GS Only: How to Update iPhone 3GS to 06.15.00 Baseband for Unlock: Ultrasn0w 1.2 unlocking requires that your iPhone 3GS is jailbroken with 06.15.00 baseband. Follow the complete guide posted here (with PwnageTool) or here (for Redsn0w) to update your iPhone 3GS baseband to 06.15.00 and jailbreak it on iOS 4.1 / 4.2.1 before proceeding with the following steps.
Step 1: First up, you will have to jailbreak your iPhone 4 or 3GS using Sn0wbreeze 2.4. Instructions for jailbreaking iOS 4.3.1 using this new version of Sn0wbreeze for iOS 4.3.1 are exactly similar to the last release. Simply follow our detailed step by step guide posted here to jailbreak iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G / 3G and iPad running the latest iOS 4.3.1 firmware.

Step 2: Once you are done with the jailbreak, you can now unlock your iPhone on the supported basebands using Ultrasn0w 1.2 from Cydia. To do this:
  • Start “Cydia” on your iPhone.
  • Touch on “Manage” tab on the bottom.
  • Now touch on “Sources” as seen in the screenshot below:

ouch on “Edit” and then on “Add”. You will be prompted to enter a url source as seen in the screenshot below. Type http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com” and touch on“Add Source” to add this repo if you haven’t already.

Cydia will now automatically update your sources by following a series of automated steps.
  • After installation is completed. Search for “ultrasn0w 1.2” in Cydia and install this application. This app will automatically unlock your iPhone so that you can use it with any carrier.

Step 3: Now simply restart your iPhone and voila! you should now have a fully unlocked iPhone 4 or 3GS, running iOS 4.3.1 !

If you jailbreak your iPhone using PwnageTool on Mac, you need to first add http://djayb6.com repo in Cydia and install “Ultrasn0w Fixer for 4.3.1” before installing Ultrasn0w as mentioned in the steps above.

iPhone 4 Unlock 2.10.04 / 3.10.01 / 4.10.01 with Gevey SIM is illegal [Warning]

MuscleNerd of iPhone dev-team has announced some bad news about Gevey SIM which unlock iPhone 4 basebands 2.10.04 / 3.10.01 / 4.10.01MuscleNerd said that Gevey SIM is illegal in USA and probably other countires as it dials 112 (emergency) then hang up.

Likely the carriers will block the SIMs that are causing the repeated emergency call hang ups, and if you change the blocked SIM many times, you yourself will get banned by carrier.
That "dial 112 then hang up" in gevey http://is.gd/FGNeJi is illegal in USA, and probably other countries. Buyer beware.
So the question is can the hackers improve Gevey SIM to work legally? Unfortunately, MucleNerd confirmed that there is no way to make Gevey SIM method legal. So I highly recommend who is looking for unlock to wait for ultrasn0w from the dev-team.

iPad 2: Wife Says No, but Apple Says Yes

Apple is paying close attention to all iPad 2 returns during the first few weeks to make sure there are no major production defects. This policy has led to an amusing story that we thought was entertaining enough to share.

The story comes by way of an individual close to Apple:
[Apple's] focus this week has been to troubleshoot all the iPad 2s that customers are returning to the stores. One iPad came back with a post it note on it that said "Wife said no." It was escalated as something funny, and two of the VPs got wind of it. They sent the guy an iPad 2 with a note on it that said "Apple said yes."

We're guessing a free iPad satisfied any objection the customer's wife might have had.

How to Recover your iPhone Password

When you forget the password of your email, facebook or Twitter account you simply click "Forget my Password". But what about your iPhone? What if you set a ‘Restrictions Passcode’ a long time ago and now you can’t remember the digits?

You’ve got a couple of options. For starters, you could restore your iPhone as a new device through iTunes. You can’t restore from a previous backup, because your passcode is saved in that file

Your other option isn’t quite so painful. All you need is about 5 minutes and iPhone Backup Extractor for Mac OS X, which you can get here. This guide is specifically for Mac OS X users. But if you meet the criteria and could really use some help recovering your iPhone passcode, dig in!

Step 1: Once you’ve download the free app, iPhone Backup Extractor, open it up and let it extract itself. You will then want to click ‘Read Backups’. A list of your previous backups should now populate. Just select the backup that you want to extract the passcode from.

Step 2: You should now be looking at a list of apps that have been backed up. Scroll all the way to the bottom and click ‘iOS Files’, and then ‘Extract’. I recommend extracting it to your desktop so you can find it easily.

Step 3: Extraction will take a minute. Once completed, open the folder it created called ‘iOS Files’. Look for the file named ‘com.apple.springboard.plist’, and open it up.

Step 4: As you scroll down this list of properties, you should see a key titled ‘SBParentalControlsPin’ and to the right of it a value. This is what your Passcode is, enter it in your iDevice, and thank Simon Blog for sharing this little tidbit with us.

It is important to note that jailbroken users, can also locate their passcode via SSH. All you have to do is navigate to ‘var/mobile/Library/Preferences’.
