AT&T iPhone Permanent IMEI Unlock Available Now

Unlocking an iPhone is no easy feat. There are several factors to take in to account including but not limited to baseband numbers, firmware versions and networks. The most popular method of iPhone unlocking is through ultrasn0w software however it is not compatible with higher basebands. Finally a permanent solution is available for AT&T iPhone owners, who can avail a permanent IMEI unlock very easily.

This latest solution comes from Applenberry. They are a known name as they are the manufacturers of hardware interposers used for unlocking iPhones on higher baseband. The Gevey SIM interposers were previously used to unlock iPhone on basebands that were not supported by ultrasn0w unlock. The interposers had a caveat. They worked only with specific firmware versions therefore were not a permanent solution.

This new permanent AT&T iPhone unlock solution required IMEI of the iPhone that is to be unlocked. Applenberry says that the unlock request needs one or two business days to be processed. An email will be send to the user after the request has been processed. After that, the user simply needs to connect the iPhone to iTunes, sync it whereby the unlock screen will be displayed. It is literally as simple as that and your AT&T iPhone will be network lock free permanently.

Bear in mind that if your contract with AT&T has ended, the network will unlock your iPhone free of charge. This Applenberry permanent unlock service is compatible with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S running on AT&T regardless of firmware or baseband version. No extra hardware modification or software alteration is required. Though this permanent AT&T iPhone unlock does not come cheap. Applenberry charges $150 for the service, previous customers get $30 off. By now it should be obvious that this service is for iPhones that are locked on AT&T. After the permanent IMEI unlock, your AT&T iPhone will be compatible with any network around the world.

So what do you think ?! Have you already unlocked your AT&T iPhone or not ?!

Install iOS 6 beta without developer account (UDID) for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Previously we told you about the iOS 6 being available only for registered developers, well, have we got some good news for you! A forum member from iFans Forum has figured out a way to upgrade to the iOS 6 on your iPhone, iPad or your iPod touch without being a registered developer and without activating your device’s UDID (Unique Device Identifier). This means anyone who wants to can upgrade to the new iOS, of course you will have to keep in mind that since the new iOS is not stable yet you can experience a lot of undiscovered problems and so be forewarned that anything can happen.

iOS 6 beta without developer account UDID
Upgrade to iOS 6 beta without developer account (UDID)
Step 1: First of all you are going to need to download the iOS 6 Beta 2 firmware. It would be best if you have a friend who is a registered developer but even if you don’t then finding the firmware will not be much of a problem, all we can tell you that it’s out there.
Step 2: Next, you will need to downgrade or restore you device to the old iOS 5.1.1 firmware. The reason you will need to restore is that a lot less errors occur when you have a stock iOS.
Step 3: You will also need the latest version of iTunes available here: (that’s one download we can tell you about). It the new version 10.6.3 and you need this for the upgrade.
Step 4: Now, once the latest version of iTunes is installed, all you will have to do is connect your device with iTunes, and press shift + update (Windows) or Option + update (Mac) and select the firmware file (in this case the iOS 6 beta 2). Keep your fingers crossed and wait for it to finish.
Your device will restart a couple of time and once its ready just enjoy and experience the new iOS 6, you can read up on the jailbreaking guide for this iOS and how to install Cydia as well. Be sure you tell us about your experience with the new iOS 6 and just how useful this guide was.

This Russian Hacker Discovered A Way To Crack iOS -App Purchasing

Sometimes when you install an free app from the App Store and began playing it, you find some Ads pops up at your iPhone screen asking you to purchase some new upgrades for the app, for example let us take a very popular iOS app called “Talking cat” and more apps like it. But today I would like to tell you that a new Russian hacker was able to discover a way to crack iOS app purchasing (No Jailbreak Required).
The Russian hacker called ZonD80 and the first people who covered this story was a Russian blog called i-ekb.ru where they say that ZonD8o runs the conveniently named In-AppStore.com website where he collects donations to support development of the project.
In order to use this trick it is a very simple one and you are not forced to have a Jailbreak on your iPhone.
This is Apple’s worst nightmare come true because, once installed, the crack basically lets anyone obtain in-app content free of charge, in most apps. The method is independent of the iOS version and works on all devices running iOS 3.x to 6.x.
Check out the following video which shows the in-app proxy in action.
All what you have to do is installing of two certificates (CA and in-appstore.com) and changing a device’s DNS record in the WiFi section of Settings. This lets your device contact the Russian server to circumvent the built-in protection, producing this confirmation dialogue. The method is not allowing users to install content from 100 percent of apps, as some users of the method report it failing for certain in-app purchases in specific regions. This is of course not something we approve of. Despite warnings from the developer himself to please “not pirate AppStore apps,” he continued to assist users of the hack that report it not working with certain apps. Hopefully Apple and the developer community can shut this guy down before too much content is illegally downloaded. NOTE: We haven’t tried out this way and we probably don’t recommend you to lead your iPhone into these kind of troubles. So it is at your own risk bro :)

Redsn0w 0.9.14b2 Released To Improve iPhone 3GS 06.15.00 Baseband Downgrade, Adds DFU IPSW Method

MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev Team has just released an updated version of Redsn0w that improves iPhone 3GS 06.15.00 baseband downgrade which was originally released last month. In case you don’t already know, Redsn0w now allows iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS users sporting iPad’s 06.15.00 baseband to downgrade back to 05.13.04 baseband with a fully working unlock and GPS.
Those of you who couldn’t get the downgrade to work last time around should be able to now with this latest release, provided that your iPhone qualifies for the downgrade.
This version covers 3 different types of NOR chips in the iPhone 3G and 3GS (the earlier version covered only the most prevalent NOR chip).
UnlockiOS4.0.1
Instructions on how-to downgrade the baseband are pretty much similar to the last release, which you can follow here.
Redsn0w0914b2
Additionally, a new “DFU IPSW” method has also been added in this release of Redsn0w. This method basically helps those who have an iPhone with either a broken or intermittent home button to enter DFU mode with a IPSW file. This new feature in Redsn0w can be accessed by navigating to: Extras –> Even More -> DFU IPSW.
We’ve gotten a lot of feedback from users who can’t launch a DFU ramdisk because their iPhone home/power buttons are broken or intermittent.  We’ve added a new redsn0w feature that lets you enter DFU mode as long as your phone is healthy enough to restore to a normal, everyday IPSW.  You don’t need to be already jailbroken to use this method.

MuscleNerd To Release Updated 06.15.00 Baseband Downgrading Solution For New Bootrom iPhone 3GS Today

A few weeks ago MuscleNerd released a baseband downgrading solution for any iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS running the special iPad 06.15.00 baseband. This solution came in the form of a new feature in RedSn0w, and it easily allowed those who were previously trapped on 06.15.00 to downgrade back to a fully functional iPhone baseband. Unfortunately newer bootrom iPhone 3GS owners trying to use this solution had no luck, and often encountered “no service” errors.
Near the end of June we told you that MuscleNerd would be working on an updated version of the 06.15.00 baseband downgrading solution to fix problems being experienced by newer bootrom iPhone 3GS’. The only thing that was holding MuscleNerd back from releasing this update was having a physical device in hand to test it on. Luckily MuscleNerd managed to get one sent to him, and after just a day of debugging MuscleNerd has tweeted he has revised the payload and he will release the improved downgrade later today.
iPhone 3GS Baseband Downgrade Update
As such, we will keep you in the loop when the updated version of the 06.15.00 baseband downgrading solution is released. Until that time please stay tuned and leave any further thoughts in the comments section.

MuscleNerd Solves a Serious Problem With Downgrading The Baseband on iPhone 3G and Can Change The IMEI

Although most users had no problem running the downgrade baseband 06.15 on iPhone 3G and iPhone 3Gs, some users have a certain version of the iPhone third generation have encountered some problems after using redsn0w. On these iPhone 3G, in fact, occurred a strange problem after downgrade: the baseband was restored, but in fact it was impossible to use the phone since the iPhone was displayed the classic error “No signal”. MuscleNerd, a member and leader of the Dev-Team has finally found a solution to this problem and is preparing to update again soon Redsn0w and payload that allow the downgrade baseband 06.15 on iPhone 3G and iPhone 3Gs.
After day of debugging why HAD reverted 3G no service, found it was blocked for Unrelated reason! OTOH I figured out how to change IMEI

MuscleNerd has just announced via Twitter that he spent an entire day trying to figure out the source of the problem that has affected some iPhone 3G after downgrading the basebandWhile not being able to track down the cause of the problem, MuslceNerd is instead managed to find a way to change the IMEI of the phone.
Other than that hiccup testing, the revised payload Seems fine … will release improved downgrade later todayHappy5th of July!
In a second tweet has specified the hacker wanted to conduct further tests on the new payload and be working on a new update to that redsn0w will be released shortly. Of course you will receive the new release of this program through a new article on.

How to jailbreak iOS 6 beta 2 with RedSn0w

As you may have guessed, you can jailbreak iOS 6 beta 2 with RedSn0w 0.9.13dev1. This is a tethered jailbreak, and since the iPhone Dev Team has not updated RedSn0w to work with this latest firmware version, you will need to point to the prior beta firmware in order to jailbreak iOS 6 beta 2.
Check inside for the full step by step tutorial to learn how to easily jailbreak your iOS 6 beta 2 installation.

Note: You must be a developer to download iOS 6 beta firmware. You will need the iOS 6 beta 1 firmware in order to jailbreak iOS 6 beta 2. This only works for A4 devices and below, i.e. iPhone 4, iPod touch 4th generation, and iPhone 3GS. This is a tethered jailbreak.
Step 1: Install iOS 6 beta 2.
Step 2: Place your device into DFU mode.
Step 3: Download RedSn0w 0.9.13dev 1 and open it.
Step 4: Click Extras > Select IPSW > and point to your iOS 6 beta 1 firmware.
Step 5: Go back to the main screen and click Jailbreak. Make sure Install SSH is checked. This jailbreak does not install Cydia.
Step 6: Once the jailbreak has finished, place your device back into DFU mode, and go back to Extras > Select IPSW, and again point to your iOS 6 beta 1 firmware. Once identified, select Just boot from the Extras menu to perform a tethered boot. That’s it. Enjoy your jailbroken iOS 6 beta 2 installation.
As stated, this jailbreak does not install Cydia, but you can use SSH to install Cydia as noted in this tutorial.

0615 fun (Redsnow 0.9.14b1)Downgrade BB 06.15

The iPhone Dev Team is happy to announce a baseband downgrade option in redsn0w for those who are using the iPad’s 06.15 baseband on the iPhone3G or iPhone3GS.
Typically you’d have the 06.15 baseband if you unlock with ultrasn0w but updated your iPhone baseband past 05.13.04.  With this new capability, you can now downgrade specifically from 06.15 to 05.13.04 (even if you never had 05.13.04 on that device before).  This gives you the best of both worlds: ultrasn0w compatibility and a normal iPhone baseband with full GPS and the ability to use stock IPSWs again.
Here are the steps:
  1. Use the “Extras->Select IPSW” button in redsn0w to tell it which firmware version you have installed (new-bootrom 3GS users can usually skip this step but it doesn’t hurt for them to do it too).
  2. Do a controlled shutdown of your iPhone (“slide to power off”).  This step is very important to avoid mount problems when the ramdisk is running!
  3. Go back to the first screen and click “Jailbreak”.  Enable the “Downgrade from iPad baseband” checkbox, disable Cydia if you already have it installed, and click Next to proceed through the normal DFU ramdisk steps.
After the ramdisk gets launched and you see the Pwnapple running on your iPhone, you’ll eventually get to the “Flashing Baseband” step.  THIS STEP TAKES A VERY LONG TIME to complete and there won’t be any feedback while its running.  Please just let it be for the next 3-8 minutes!  When the ramdisk has done its job it will reboot the phone on its own.
For those who are wondering if you can update your 3G or 3GS to 06.15 solely for the purposes of downgrading to 05.13.04, the answer is “yes” for 3G owners, and “maybe” for 3GS owners.  The iPad baseband is not compatible with 3GS units manufactured week 34 of 2011 or later.  If you have an iPhone3GS and if digits 3-5 of its Serial Number are 134 or later (xx134…), then you should NOT try to install the 06.15 baseband on your 3GS!  It will brick your radio, preventing both the downgrade from working and normal iPhone software from using it as a phone!  Be warned!
If you have any questions or comments, please use our comments section below!
Here are the download links.  Enjoy!

MuscleNerd Is Indeed Aiming At Releasing 06.15.00 Baseband Downgrade Tool Today [#SundayIsFunday]

Earlier this week we told you that MuscleNerd was going to try to make his 06.15.00 baseband downgrading solution ready for this Sunday (aka Funday). It looks like this is indeed going to remain true as MuscleNerd recently tweeted that you should be able to expect the downgrading tool sometime today.
06.15.00 Downgrade Tool Release Date
As MuscleNerd mentions, this is some big news because since the iOS 4.1/4.2.1 firmware those who upgraded to this specie liPad baseband (for unlocking purposes) have been stuck on it, and a majority of people lost GPS functionality upon doing so. With the ability to downgrade back to a baseband prior to 05.13.04 those who upgraded will regain GPS functionality and no longer need to worry about reflashing to 06.15.00 baseband when upgrading firmwares.
As soon as MuscleNerd releases the 06.15.00 baseband downgrading tool we will have a how to guide available on downgrading youriPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS from the 06.15.00 baseband to a baseband prior to 05.13.04. Until that time stay tuned and leave any further questions or thoughts in the comments section below.

iOS 6 JAILBREAK DOWNLOAD / INSTALL / REDSN0W

iOS 6 JAILBREAK DOWNLOAD / INSTALL / REDSN0W JAILBREAK TOOL FOR IOS 6. Done. Download. Install.
iOS 6 JAILBREAK DOWNLOAD / INSTALL / REDSN0W JAILBREAK TOOL FOR IOS 6.Done. Download. Install.
iPod touch 4G
iPhone3GS
iPhone4 (GSM)
iPhone4 (CDMA)
UNLOCKERS AND THOSE PRESERVING THEIR UNLOCKABLE BASEBANDS SHOULD STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS! You will very likely lose your unlockable baseband if you try to install iOS 6.
THIS JAILBREAK IS INTENDED ONLY FOR DEVELOPERS OF JAILBROKEN APPS! There are just too many broken components (Apple’s official apps, 3rd-party App Store apps, Cydia apps, etc) for this to be useful to anyone but those truly looking to fix bugs in their iOS 6 jailbroken apps.
CYDIA WILL NOT BE INSTALLED because it just hasn’t had time to be updated to the new SDK. The only access you’ll get to the device is through SSH or afc2. If you don’t know what either of those are, you shouldn’t be using this developer version of redsn0w!
THIS REDSN0W WILL NOT HACTIVATE! You need to be an iOS developer with a registered UDID to get past the activation screens. PLEASE DON’T PIRATE APPLE SOFTWARE! Only registered devs with Macs can develop iOS applications, and only those people will have legitimate access to the beta IPSWs.
THIS IS A TETHERED JAILBREAK ONLY! No new exploits are being exposed with this jailbreak (it uses geohot’s limera1n bootrom exploit), but that comes at a cost. You will need to use redsn0w’s “Just boot” button to be able to use many things, including Safari. If you see Safari or iBooks crash when you open them, it’s because you didn’t boot tethered.
You must point redsn0w at your IPSW the first time you “Jailbreak” and “Just boot” tethered because that IPSW is only available to developers, and redsn0w can’t automatically fetch the pieces it needs from it. By the time you’ve done a “Just boot” tethered JB though, redsn0w has cached all the files it needs from the IPSW so you won’t need to point redsn0w at it any longer.

Downgrade 6.15.00 Baseband Coming This Sunday

After the great achievement that has been made by iPhone Dev-team in the iPhone 3GS / 3G 06.15.00 baseband downgrade project. Today, MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev-team announced an estimate time for releasing downgrade 6.15.00 baseband for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G users.
downgrade 6.15 baseband to Fix GPS
How iPhone 3GS / 3G users will be able to downgrade their devices? Well, MuscleNerd confirms through his Twitter account, that downgrade process will be done via a new button that will be implemented on the new version of Redsn0w (likely Redsn0w 0.9.13b1)

downgrade 6.15 iphone 3GS to fix GPS
What is the value behind downgrading 6.15.00 baseband? Actually, we have many benefits, as most of you know that 6.15.00 baseband caused problems with GPS, so that downgrading iPad baseband to lower and normal baseband will fix all GPS issues. Add to this, off-contract AT&T users will be able to make official unlock via AT&T for free so that they will be able to use their iPhones on any carrier, all other unlockers will be able to use ultrasn0w to unlock their devices.
downgrade 6.15 baseband to Fix GPS
When downgrade 6.15.00 will be released? MuscleNerd is aiming to release it on this Sunday, stay tuned.

MuscleNerd Success To Jailbreak iOS 6 Beta1

MuscleNerd Success To Jailbreak iOS 6 Beta 1. Just after Apple announced releasing iOS 6 beta 1 which comes with some great features. Yesterday MuscleNerd  has just announced on his Twitter account that he was able to jailbreak his iPod Touch 4G which is running on iOS 6 beta 1. But unfortunately I would like to tell you don’t except it to available to the public.

MuscleNerd says that they will face a huge difficulty in bringing iOS 6 beta 1 untethered jailbreak to all the Apple devices. because it looks like that iOS 6 breaks a whole lot of stuff, including Cydia, and it’ll be a while before there’s an iOS 6 jailbreak. Here’s the tweet from him:
Here’s ioreg of my tethered-JB ipt4g 6.0:http://is.gd/1qOwvW ..MANY things including Cydia are broken, don’t expect beta JB for a while!

Of course, for a small minority of you, iOS 6 may negate the need for jailbreaking. Improvements like fullscreen mode in Safari, Facebook and Twitter links in Notification Center, and new features for many of the stock apps could mean that the tweaks you jailbreak for are no longer necessary.

New In iOS 6: Adding Retina Shutdown Spinner Graphic

A new feature have been found in iOS 6 that will really makes you happy.. Today a new feature that too many users are looking for it which is  the operating system’s shutdown spinner has finally received the Retina treatment. Do you know that this feature wasn’t exist from about two years.. And today it is here and with a high retina display..

The folks at TheNextWeb are the first guys who found this awesome feature in iOS 6. So it looks like that Apple is finally decided to correct a few things and makes it better one  the animated icon that appears for a few brief moments during each device shutdown will be Retina-friendly.. So have you already tried this feature or not ?!
I guess I should put up or shut up, and post my own perfectly clear version of the spinner. I would, only I downgraded my iPad back to iOS5 last night thanks to one too many essential apps kept crashing.

  • Step 1: First of all, jailbreak your CDMA iPhone 4S with Absinthe. Don’t insert the Gevey Ultra S right now!
  • Step 2: Go to Cydia > sources > manage > edit > add and enter this repo: http://v.backspace.jp/repo
  • Step 3: After adding this repo, the “CommCenter*patch” will be installed. Then the following repo will be added: http://cydia.furiousmod.com
  • Step 4: After installation, you may get an error! This is ideal, and you can continue with the tutorial. Now insert the Gevey Ultra S and wait for “unlock successful” and copy the code. Now enter the code in the app furious mode, enable data roaming and unlock the baseband. After installation, add the following repo: http://www.iglive.cn/cydia
Now it will install the packageiPhone 4S Network Package”. Now the iPhone will reboot. After it’s done rebooting, go to settings, and choose airplane mode. The next step requires quickness! Turn the device off quickly, and wait for 2-3 minutes and you’ll have signal bars. If you face an issue in signals, remove “furious mod iPhone 4S CDMA” and restart the iPhone.
