We have recently reported the the JailbreakMe.com domain was sold and it wasn’t safe to use any more. But today, Jay Freeman, also known as Sauirk has announced on his twitter account that he had purchased the domain and it’s now safe to use.
JailbreakMe.com is Back
Fortunately Saurik has been able to purchase the domain from it’s new owner after after ConceitedApps had sold it. There was concerns that with out control of the domain the new owner could upload malware or any other malicious work on the site. MuscleNerd has announced after the domain got sold that the JailbreakMe 3.0 web-based tool will be available on their domain Jailbreaks.me but it seems like we no longer need the new domain but many thanks to MuscleNerd.
JailbreakMe 3.0
As you know the JailbreakMe 3.0 web-based jailbreak tool was developed by Comex who is currently working in Apple. So it’s highly unlikely to see a new update to the tool which is used to jailbreak the iPad 2 on iOS 4.3.3. You might see that a bit unusual but although Comex is the one developed the tool, The JailbreakMe.com domain wasn’t his.
